When i was younger I used to really enjoy digging up worms (!) and finding things in the garden, and next door to where I live there is a small farm. The land my house is built on used to be part of their apple orchard and back when they didn’t have bins and used to have middens (small pits for burying rubbish away from the house) means that you’re never too far from the odd broken plate, piece of clay pipe and an array of unusual objects..

The collection is inspired by this thrill of discovery I had when i was younger, and the layers you tend to find in the earth whilst digging down..
